Wolves Latest International Appearances

Wolves Captain Conor Coady has led the club's International appearances this week by once again wearing the England Captain's armband for 45 minutes 

In yesterday's game against footballing minnows San Marino  the game started - somewhat inexplicably - with Raheem Sterling as Captain. However he was replaced at half time by Phil Foden, and the armband was worn by Coady for the second half, to see out a 5 - 0 win.

Wolves were well represented in Portugal's home game against Azerbaijan on Wednesday, with Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Pedro Neto all playing through the first half until being replaced in the second. Goalkeeper Rui Patricio decided against travelling for the game after his unfortunate collision with Conor Coady late on in the last home game against Liverpool.

Leander Dendoncker played the full 90 minute game in midfield for Belgium in their 3 - 1 win over Wales on Wednesday.

Midfielder Vitinha played 73 minutes of Portugal's Under 21's 1 - 0 win over Croatia in the Under 21 Championships in Slovenia

Under 23's Wolves star Theo Corbeanu - who is only 18 - scored on his debut for Canada after coming on as a 77th minute substitute during a 5 - 1 World Cup Qualifier against Bermuda. He previously played at junior level for Romania, but decided to play in future for the country of his birth.

Owen Otasowie was an unused substitue for the USA's friendly against Jamaica

Willy Boly played for the full 90 minutes in Ivory Coast's 3 - 0 away win against Niger, and Romain Saiss also played the full game for Morocco in their 0 - 0 draw away to Mauitania. Both of these were Africa Cup of Nations games on Friday.

Meanwhile Raul Jiminez took the opportunity to meet up with his Mexico team mates and do some training with them in Wales, before the friendly match between the two teams Saturday evening.
