It could be a tricky challenge for Wolves as they travel to Norwich for today's Premier League game. Dean Smith has now taken over as Norwich Manager and has helped lift his club from bottom position in the League following a home win over Southampton.
Wolves of course are also bouyant following their home win over West Ham last week and currently sit in 6th place in the League, but most fans will surely see this game as a potential banana skin game. Wolves have of course already beaten a Dean Smith team when they won at Villa Park, and they have a good record of results at Carrow Road in past seasons.
Coach Bruno Lage is running short of options in defence with the news that Willy Boly has once again joined Jonny and Jerson Mosquera on the treatment benches following another muscular injury. Bruno will surely be hoping not to sustain any injuries to his currently trusted back three. However Marcal and Bruno Jordao are back in training, although the latter is not yet ready for first team action. No further injuries concerns are known of. Fans will also be aware that there is only a short window before the next game at home against Burnley on Wednesday.
Today's game kick's off at 3pm and will be refereed by Simon Hooper with Jonathan Moss responsible for VAR

I am optimistic about this afternoons game feeling that we have a stronger depth of squad than the Canaries and should be able to prevail over the ninety minutes.
Will be nice to see some of the fabulous play from last week replicated again this afternoon and if we can do that it should be a good match to watch.

Less than convincing from what I’ve seen from us. Norwich are pressing but don’t look great. Good piece of play from us, spoilt by 2 poor crosses, one from Semedo then the other from RAN. 18 minutes gone.

Wolves attack breaks down and City break but Pukki needs too long and is robbed by CC. 20 mins gon and an enjoyable game so far. City player Norman is down injured and may need to be replaced.

Great pressing by Raul leads to a couple of chances & in the end Krull stops a long range shot by Joao. Corner to Wolves goes to CC and he tries to volley it but way too high. Great run by Arrons and he gets a shot away but we’ll dealt with by Jose

Half time whistle goes after a quite entertaining 1st half. Fairly even possession wise and both teams have had chances and shots. Hoping now that Wolves have a typically improved second half and get some results for their attacking intent. Trink has made some good runs as has Hwang but little end product from either of them.

Have to say, sadly, that Norwich are on the up again. We’re they a better side, they’d be winning. They’ve just had a spell of pressure which started when in a good position RAN ran into trouble.

Semedo off & Donk on, which could be risky as Rashica has been one of City’s best players down our right wing. Dreadful pass from Hwang when he could have set Neves up in their area. Solid keeping by Jose when needed.

We weren’t very good at all. Too many average performances out their today. By the time Traore did get on, the counter attacks primarily of the first half had already fizzled out, then he was switched to RWB.

All over and Wolves who remain unbeaten but it’s a disappointing result really. City played well but we’re largely blunt up front. Wolves showed little imagination in attack and our forwards were provided with very little service from midfield. Ait Nouri had some promising opportunities but his decision making was questionable. Traore had a run out but will no doubt have been frustrated to have to play at wing back.
We will need to play considerably better than this on Wednesday to beat Burnley at Molineux, particularly after last season’s result against them!!

Well that was an uninspiring outing fairly solid I suppose but seriously lacking a cutting-edge up front although service from our midfield was virtually nonexistent.

Typical wolves really wasn't it, a big struggle against a team near the bottom of the table. Norwich the better side and we were a little fortunate to get a point. The performance just shows today how we need more players in January let's hope it happens.

Many thanks Andy, my betting account was on fumes so it helped quite a bit!! Also backed Cloth Cap, so thought I might have the 1-2 three fences out. Nice win in memory of Trevor Hemmings and will be interesting to see what happens to his horses now. Anyway, it turned out to be the most exciting part of the Wolves match for me.
Perhaps it’s one of them matches we simply have to put behind us and move rapidly on to Molineux on Wednesday night however our consistency is a touch concerning and as ever the number of goals we score is of concern. Thank goodness for a solid defence and a decent keeper, though a more capable attacking side would have killed us off yesterday. I was glad of a point in the end ….. too many players were ineffective.
December fixtures look like a bit of a mountain at the moment! 3 point versus Burnley will help.
