Wolves fans will surely be delighted to have heard the news that Perdo Neto has signed a five year contract extension with Wolves, as they prepare for tonight's visit of Watford, for the game postponed from Boxing Day

Despite the fact that they are in second bottom place in the Premier League, a result against Watford cannot be taken for granted. New Manager Roy Hodgson has already started to have an impact on his team, which played well against Arsenal at the weekend before succumbing to three excellent goals. Therefore it might be considered a tough game to forecast the outcome of.

Wolves meanwhile have lost three consecutive games, scoring only once and playing overall very poorly, although having rung the changes in personnel due to playing several games in a short period of time. Perhaps this has shown an acute shortfall of quality in our squad with few players able to step into the void left by regular starters being rotated. KI-Jana Hoever left the Palace game physically and mentally battered and his injury plus the absence of Nelson Semedo has now given the opportunity for Jonny to re-establish himself in the starting Xl, which fans will also be happy to see after his prolonged fight against serious injury. It has transpired that Rayan Ait-Nouri was also missing due to a viral infection, but is hoped that he will be able to return for tonight's game. Max Kilman has looked a bit out of sorts in the last two games and I wonder whether Willy Boly might be given a starting berth for the first time this season.

We will have to wonder whether Bruno Lage will revert to a three man midfield, possibly giving Luke Cundle another run-out, or whether he will stick with a three man attack. Pedro Neto seems to be back to full fitness now so we can hope to see him start again, presumably alongside Raul Jimenez.

Tonight's game at Molineux will kick off at the slightly earlier time of 7:30pm and will be refereed by the relative newcomer Darren England with David Coote on VAR Duty.

Sadly HesGoal have now decided against screening Premiership matches however ours is due to be screened by BEIN TV so if a link can be found by anyone please share it for the benefit of other board members. The board will hope to carry regular updates on the progress of the game, and board members are encouraged to join in the conversation posting their own observations.

So... Max does indeed get rested and Willy Boly starts his first game of the season. Hwang could be considered fortunate to be keeping Neto on the bench and let's hope Chic gets a good spell.

Good start from RAN up left with a strong cross but cleared. Foul on Pod on right wing, and now Jonny has a cut to his left eye

Hernandez fell over RAN - as he does - in the area but offside flag up.

It was Jonny whose cross found RAN and his cross went in off Hernandez. Now Louis gets a yellow card for a tug on Raul

Terrible clearance from the edge of the area by Foster after great pressure by Raul - straight to Pod and he puts it away from outside the area. Unbeliebly 3 goals up after 20 minutes!!

Podence is playing strictly down the right wing this evening and is working hard and effectively

Late to the party!!

Was much happier with the team selection this evening plus or minus Hwang. Anyway, after the relative dross of recent matches, here we are 27 minutes gone and 3-0!! Nice first goal, hilarious own goal and equally hilarious moment of madness from Foster and a gift on a plate for Podence.

3 goals in 20 odd minutes. 3 goals!!!!

King just should have made it 3-1, hey ho, IT'S 3-0!!!!

Terrible challenge on Raul as we had a break away, cynically stopped. Awful - yellow card

Great ball from Moutniho, great play from RAN in particular, lovely flick to Raul, to Hwang but twarted from good defending. That would have been a brilliant goal. Corner comes to nothing

HT.

Wolves 3-0 Watford.

Thoroughly deserved lead against a dreadful Watford side.

Having said that, we didn't score in 24 minutes of football, I for one think that's pathetic .... must do better Wolves!! (Sm6)

Half time and a half which astoundingly has produced three goals for Wolves in which they have been almost totally in control. Great to see Jonny back in great form and Willy Boly also playing well in defence. A good goal for Raul with an assist by Hwang to encourage them both. Let’s hope we can keep it up and build on our goal difference in the second half.

Early opportunity, very good free kick but Sa made it look easy.

Ben Foster is getting so much stick from the Wolves crowd. He makes another poor kick, comes to nothing but the South Bank gets full value for the error!!

I thought Saiss got fouled on the half way line, gets turned and chased back, agricultural Saiss follow up challenge equal a dangerous free kick and Saiss yellow card.

Free kick - 20-22 yards out, but wall does it's job and corner

Nice bit of interplay, decnet Jonny cross, Neto heads at far post, just not enough pace on the cross.

Then Neto crosses from the other side (SB stand side) and Fabio misses, narrowly wide but tough chance for Fabio to convert there.

Will we score this half?

Was blocked by an 'error 403 Forbidden' for the last couple of weeks. I didn't even notice we had a game tonight until idly surfing the BBC web page.

Glad to see we've stopped the rot, regardless of the opposition.

All over and our best result numbers wise of the season. We put Watford to the sword and were superior throughout the game. Well taken goals especially Ruben Neves’ pearler from just inside the area. I thought Neves (as always), Boly and Jonny had excellent games probably just eclipsed by Podence who was involved in everything and never stopped running. Good to see RAN back on the left too and Neto looked promising when he came on. I would be quite happy to see the same team fielded on Sun, possibly with Neto starting instead of Hwang. Good game and good to see us top the rot as Risca said.

Great response after the last three matches.
Everyone did well, maybe Hwang a little quiet, especially 2nd half. Very impressed with Boly and Jonny after being out for so long. M-o-m could have been a number of players but I reckon just about Neves. What a goal to finish off a brilliant performance from him.
I don't know what Bruno said to them after the Palace match but whatever it was he got it right.

A much needed win, nice to see a few goals. Let's hope we build on it on Sunday at Everton which promises to be a tough game with the toffees needing points. Nice to see boly on the pitch tonight thought he had a decent game. Jonny and neto looking sharper to. Utw

In the light of the last few weeks, this win, a 4 goal win, sits extremely well.

We’ve been dross for sure, this in the back of a decent run ……. Inconsistency has reigned during this season, and surely where we are in the league is about right as it stands. BUT …… we have the opportunity to rise one or two places once again, should we find the winning formula again. Everton next up, a side who can’t buy a win and a side who we dominated at Molineux. They are in real trouble, we now have a win, who will prevail?

Well, certainly, a repeat of some of the play tonight really won’t harm. A nice way to spend an evening …… found a functional stream and saw most of the match, with a few technical glitches. From what I saw, all contributed very well to this performance and I too would pick out Jonny, Boly and Neves for praise. Big Willy played like he’s never been away. Raul played well too, positionally and holding possession etc, RAN is the man we should concentrate on at LWB, both Neves and Moutinho controlled the midfield. If being harsh, Hwang faded (nice little ball to Raul for the first) and Saiss was a bit unpredictable …. Except he did get a yellow!

Four goals though, a treat indeed. Okay two comedy goals with pantomime ex Baggy villain Foster playing a key role in our 3rd ….. particularly enjoyed by all Wolves fans. Nevertheless a competent Podence finish, , a good first goal and a terrific finale by our main man, Ruben Neves.

Fair enough, Watford were absolute pants, but what can you do, you can only beat whats put in front of you and we did, dispatching them down the M1 with ease and likely one step closer to the Chumpsionship. Poor ole Roy, ay ‘ee Gerrin too ode fu’this?

UTW!!! Great to be smiling tonight.
