Wolves travel to Brighton for this week's Monday Night fixture, and a testing game lies ahead. Wolves have lost to Brighton the last three times they have played and last season saw a humiliating 6 - 0 loss at the Amex stadium under Julen Lopetegui.
Gary O'Neil is looking forward to this game as an opportunity to test his team against one that has done well so far this season, currently sitting in 8th place in the Premiership, whilst Wolves are only three places and three points behind them. Taking into account the players unavailable to play due to international duties and suspension O'Neil is happy to inform us that all players in the squad are fit to start, including Matheus Cunha who struggled at the end of the extended replay against Brentford, and Mario Lemina who came on as a sub during that match. Pedro Neto is also expected to be a starter for this game after a lengthy spell in the Brentford game as a substitute, which included him winning the penalty which ultimately decided the game. Santi Bueno has done well in defence during the absence of Craig Dawson but we can probably expect Dawson to reclaim his starting position this evening.
Brighton have several players unavailable including the frequent master of our downfall Kaoru Mitoma, exciting newcomer Julio Enciso and Ansu Fati. However we all know that they have a squad full of talented players capable of stepping up and performing well on the day.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:45pm and will be screened live on TNT Sports. Our referee will be the usually reliable Craig Pawson, with Simon Hooper on VAR Duty.
This board will aim to provide regular updates on the progress of the game, and as always members and visitors are encouraged to post their own observations and opinions and join in the conversation.

Three changes for Wolves as Craig Dawson replaces Santi Bueno, Mario Lemina is back in replacing Joe Hodge and Pedro Neto makes his first start since sustaining his injury against Newcastle, replacing JR Belleguarde. Line-up:

Great to see Neto get the nod.
I really don’t anticipate another drubbing like last seasons embarrassing Amex capitulation. I think we’ll push hard tonight.

I do think there was good reason behind the move though Angry, as Dawson and Neto were both returning from injury whilst Lemina had been away following the death of his Dad.a gradual reintroduction last week now means they all return for this important game.

Wolves under the cosh at the moment until a great challenge in the area by Lemina. BHA having the majority of the ball so far and passing it around very nicely.

Cunha links up well with Neto but his cross is cleared. Good break into the area by Cunha but no one to pass to!

Good break by Neto and he fires just wide with keeper beaten. Max unlucky to give a foul away. Billy Gilmore is a real live wire in the BHA midfield and very productive

Corner to BHA off Doc goes out off Milner.
Serabia gives the ball away twice near our area, then at the other end Neto breaks & crosses but Serabia hits it wide. A ‘coming together’ in the middle between Cunha & Gilmore leads to no action.

Dreadful pass by Lemina to give away possession but comes to nothing. Doc tries to shepherd the ball out but concedes the corner, which Estupinan overhits - even too high for Dunk!!

Doc isn’t doing too well on the left of defence so far! Joao Pedro in a good position fed by Gilmour but a weak shot easily collected by Jose. Handbags between Gilmour & Dawson & member of Wolves coaching staff Neil Cutler gets a booking for gobbing off.

Max has to drag Cunha away from the ref as he is still claiming his innocence, but all OK after half time whistle. Not a bad half for Wolves with a few opportunities but a lack of shots on target. Wolves have had to defend well against some good attacking play by BHA, but Jose has not been very busy either. A draw would not be a bad result for Wolves in this game, but let’s hope we can do even bette4 in the second half.

Superb block by Nelson to stop Joao Pedro in the box. The BHA break and Max puts a cross out off the post for a corner which is cleared.

Dawson has been shown a yellow card for some reason which is unclear. Neto breaks right up to the bye line but Steele cuts it out for a corner, which comes out to Dawson and is sent sky high over the bar!!

Another cross put in by Neto after good play by Doyle but Dunk cuts it out. I think it’s time Bueno replaced Doc to provide some threat down the left wing.

Free kick to Wolves which stops the BHA attack. Final whistle blows and Wolves go six games unbeaten . A hard earned point but much more even in the second half than the first, in which Wolves created many more chances, and could have taken all three points. We defended really well in the face of good passing and threat from BHA. Good to see Neto play almost the whole game and the threat that he posed. No goals but a draw here would have been acceptable to most Wolves fans before kick off, an we are now level on points with Newcastle!

I would have taken a draw beforehand. Defended well and Sa not too extended. Good to see Neto playing almost a full match.

A very decent point but with a more composed final ball / cross and finishing would and could have easily been 3.
I’m not complaining, we defended very well against a very good side who have managed to trounce us on the last 2 occasions. Not tonight, we have improved resilience for sure. Overall very encouraging.
Who’s up next then? Anyone remember?

Good point against a decent Brighton side and our Bogey team.
Defended really well and with better finishing we could of knicked it 2nd half.
Let's hope we have saved all our goals for the other Albion Sunday, come on boys it's about time we won there, don't let us down!
