Wolves will today endeavour to repeat their 2019 feat of reaching the FA Cup Semi-Finals by beating local rivals Coventry City
After a well deserved win against Brighton in the last round Gary O'Neil's men today entertain Mark Robins' Coventry team at Molineux in the Quarter Final round of this season's competition. They will know that this represents another possible banana skin challenge as Coventry are enjoying as successful season, currently lying in 8th place in the Championship with a hope of making it into the play-offs at the end of the season. Wolves on the other hand are bouyant after another three points were secured against Fulham last week, despite losing another two players to injuries.
The injuries will still no doubt be an issue for Manager O'Neil to deal with, as he will surely be without Hwang, Neto and Bellegarde for the game. However there are reports that Matheus Cunha is once again training on the grass and might stand a chance of making an appearance in the match. Nathan Fraser may well continue in his No.9 position after a positive performance last week, whilst - in all honesty - all eyes may well be on Rayan Ait-Nouri and his starting position after his great display which included the opening goal. Whether he will be played further forward than usual allowing Hugo Bueno a place at left wing back is a possibility which remains to be seen. It is not clear at this stage whether Craig Dawson will be fit to return or will be deputised for again by the reliable Santi Bueno.
The game is due to kick off at the unusual time of 12:15, and will be televised by ITV1. Our match official will be the relative newcomer Sam Barrott with the longer serving Graham Scott on VAR Duty.
As the game is on free to view TV there will be no need for a commentary on this board, which is just as well because Ivybridge Wolf and Cheshire Wolf will be sat together in the Steve Bull stand to watch it!! However we hope that members and visitors will still post their opinions and observations to create and take part in a conversation.

Defending was so poor today and the attack toothless, defenders scoring the goals to somehow give us a lead we didn't deserve but to throw the game away like that was criminal.
We never really got going all game and Coventry could sense we were there for the taking.
Gutted to lose and I don't like to make excuses, but I can't help but think jeff Shi let us down letting strikers leave in January and not replacing them it's bad management and it has come back to bite us today.
Young Fraser works hard but he looks way off being ready for this level.
With more bad news on neto after the game I've got a feeling our season is done, this defeat will take some getting over for sure, shame as we were going well but a thin squad has found us out unfortunately.
Agreed that the season is to all intents over and that VAR is ruining the game. Since practically everyone agrees you have to believe that it will get fixed, or at least streamlined.
As for where we sit, Fosun appear to want merely to keep us in the Prem so they can Build The Brand whatever that entails. Long gone are the aspirations to be amongst the elite, as China grapples with its new economic reality. The chances of miscalculation are of course huge.
I couldn’t get a ticket for this last one but I was at the Mol for the Brighton game, and I have say that in all my seventy plus years I don’t remember a more electric atmosphere. So like all fans I travel in hope and will give it a couple more visits this season. Not quite a nostalgia trip but a joy (almost) always.
You have to take your hat off to Coventry who really took the game to us in every way. Ultimately they were the better side, seemed more up for it and exposed areas of our squad which were weaker on the day. Even so, our side should have done much better. In the end it would have been daylight robbery if we had won …… sweet daylight robbery …… but from ectasy to utter and total despair just 10 minutes later.
RAN played very well indeed, though my man of the match was Jose Sa who possibly had one of his best if not best match for Wolves. That he was so busy tells the sorry story.
Others here have said it, what a total sh!.t show piece of nonsensical cra&p VAR is. I’m not sure what those watching on the box were privy to but at Molineux it was a truly pathetic 4-5 period of non-football where he hadn’t an fffing clue what was going on, with both sets of fans venting their collective spleen at this hideous invention.
The noise and excitement was magnificent for those mad and unexpected minutes when we were actually in front and I agree with you Chicago, it was reminiscent of the Brighton match which was at times hair standing on the back of your neck stuff ….. and with 7,000 less people compared to Molineux on Saturday . On noise levels, full credit for the Coventry fans who got behind their side 100% and I wish them all the best v Man United in the semi’s. But I remain gutted, still in disbelief.
Onto the Villa now, no doubt I can lift myself to get down to the Duke of Cornwall for 5.30pm a week on Saturday! Then Molineux again v West Ham on 6th April.
