Apologies as this is another slightly shorter and earlier than usual match preview / match thread. Anyway ……. Who’d have thought a literally just over a year ago GONs side beat The Citizens 2-1 at Molineux during a period when Wolves were outperforming, according to all predictions. It was a great match that saw an own goal and a Hwang winner beat the European champions! Yes, just over 12 months ago. The reverse fixture at The Etihad last May was quite another story as Man City us put us completely to the sword in a 5-1 thrashing in a one sided, men against boys encounter – Haaland getting their first 4!
Fast forward 5 months and we find Manchester City return to Molineux this Sunday …. And we still haven’t got a win in the interim with the away side hot favourites to dispatch us once more.
Whatever the line up, the cracks (more like gaping holes) in the defence must be addressed and I hope that we return to proper wing backs with 3 centre halves in the middle, otherwise it could be a blood bath! It was bad enough v Brentford. On the other hand, I always hold out a little hope and anyone who like me, remembers the Steve Mardenborough getting the winner at Anfield in 1984, knows that miracles can happen …….. and in todays team we have far more quality, they just need to gel and keep possession a hell of a lot better. I would definitely take a draw, but we really need wins now.

Nine times out of ten they go to the screen and change the decision, but this is wolves and we all know the officials have it in for us.
Felt sorry for the boys today, yes it was backs to the wall for most of the game but their workrate deserved something from that game.
No one can tell me this premier league isn't corrupt after that.
A real sickener to take that.
Apparently just read the goal was actually ruled out on the pitch and attwel in var who asked the ref to review the decision.
Still the wrong outcome though.
What was the difference between this and kilmans goal against West ham?
Attwell was determined to give city the points, that guy certainly hates us for some reason only known to him.
Wolves the only club to stand up against VAR, is it any coincidence the poor var decisions keep coming?
Looks like the officials want to give us an helping hand towards relegation.
