The international break is over and we’re back to league action this weekend. Wolves have a traditional 3pm Saturday afternoon kick off at the picturesque surroundings of Craven Cottage and very much hoping the unbeaten run of 3 matches can continue. It needs to! Omens are fairly decent as we’ve only lost to The Cottagers once in this latest premier league run and that was the dodgy 3-2 defeat last season with two penalties awarded to Fulham – both dispatched by Willian.
Obviously Wolves have still only managed the one win so far, the last match v Saints, and whilst we did get the rub of the green with some decisions, it was a deserved 3 points overall. Wolves will be hoping that the collective good form of Cunha, Lemina, Dawson and Toti will be enough to test Fulham. Everything crossed, nevertheless Cunha has become a bit of a Wolves talisman of late, all good stuff seemingly coming from or through him. His 5 goals and 2 assists this season have contributed as the beating heart of the side.
Wolves will need to work hard, particularly in defence to shore up some of the gaping holes this season has exposed. That is why it was so important to see a clean sheet versus Southampton, although some might argue it was VAR assisted. Fulham will be no pushovers, no opposition is, and their league position (7th and 12 points ahead of Wolves) doesn’t lie. It’ll be an uphill task for us, though we have the quality in the squad to cause Fulham problems, however with the great Raul Jimenez producing some very good form of late, they will pose a considerable threat.
As a write (Friday morning), I am unsure of the likely side to be picked or what defensive formation will be selected, so hopefully by the time Saturday morning arrives everybody will be at the disposal for GON – another big test for him.
Sadly, I will not be in a position to follow the match as it unfolds, however please leave your comments on any aspect of this fixture in the thread below. As said, everything crossed for our first away win of the season, with the right application on the pitch, it is a possibility.

Gary O’Neil makes three changes to the Wolves team that beat Southampton a fortnight ago.
Andre, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Rodrigo Gomes come in, with Santiago Bueno, Craig Dawson and Pablo Sarabia all missing out.

Surprised Dawson not appearing. Presumably another knock in training. So wish we could have been able to buy another centre back in January. Mind you, Max K is hardly setting West Ham alight. Neither is their ex Wolves manager.
A fabulous win. When we went 1-0 down and watching updates on my phone I thought, here we go again. However this is a terrific win and 4 goals away from home is impressive. We climb out of the drop zone for now and all eyes on Ipswich.
Sounded like Cunha was at the centre of things and I’m very much looking forward to watching the highlights!

Awful. That's the only way I can describe that kit. On a brighter note though, without getting carried away and whatever went before, you have to say that was a fantastic win. Four goals away from home can't be sneezed at. Cunha's two were great goals and we must do all we can to keep him fit to play. A mention too for Lemina, filling in in defence, had a good match. Good to get out of the relegation places, for now at least.
Great win today let's hope it continues, cunha different class.
It also makes you wonder why Rodrigo hasn't featured much, he looks decent to me, only Gon can answer that question.
