WOLVES Manager Dave Jones has blasted his players for their pathetic performance at home to Cardiff City on Saturday. Wolves went down 3-2 with Carl Cort and Paul Ince scoring for the Wolves.

WOLVES Manager Dave Jones has blasted his players for their pathetic performance at home to Cardiff City on Saturday. Wolves went down 3-2 with Carl Cort and Paul Ince scoring for the Wolves.
Dave Jones was furious with his sides performance at Molineux on Saturday as Wolves went down 3-2 in a game which should have had three-points written all over it. No side has a divine right to the three points, but the majority of big names in the Wolves squad need to take a long hard look at themselves after the first home defeat of the season.
Wolves now lie very close to the relegation zone, despite another £5M being spent on the squad this summer. It's ironic that the only player in the Wolves squad to come from the game with any credit was young full back Keith Lowe - a player who cost nothing after progressing through the youth team.
Lowe was pushed into the deep end by Manager Dave Jones after Joleon Lescott failed a fitness test and the youngster impressed on his home debut.
"The only one of the back line to come away with any credit today was young Keith Lowe." Said a fuming Dave Jones after the game.
"All through the game I never felt comfortable defensively, certain players today didn't do what they have done for years throughout their career."
Carl Cort equalised for Wolves a minute after Cardiff had taken the lead and Paul Ince scored a late consolation, but this was a performance which lacked any sort of commitment, passion or enthusiasm.
In one flash-point in the first half, Cardiff striker Alan Lee appeared to elbow Wolves centre-back Mark Clyde. The elbow saw Lee receive a yellow card, a decision which bemused Jones.
"It should have been a red card full stop." Said Jones "The referee said it was unintentional but in that case why did he book him?"
