Wolves Fail To Win AGAIN!

IT'S simply not good enough, yet nothing seems to change. We ended the year 2004 with an amazing run of four consecutive 1-1 draws against opposition Wolves should be beating. It's now 2005 and on Saturday Wolves played host to Plymouth. It wasn't going to be 1-1 AGAIN was it?

To put it simply and somewhat mildly, the results over the last six games have been pathetic. Since Wolves beat Reading on 4th December Wolves have played six games.

Millwall, Crewe, Brighton and Plymouth have all made the trip to Molineux whilst Wolves have been to Watford and Cardiff. On paper Wolves should win the majority, if not all, of the games just mentioned.

Those games offered 18 points, yet Wolves have taken just 5. Although Wolves have lost just one of the six and now sit five games without defeat, the results coming out of this highly expensively-assembled side is utter dross.

"I have never been with a team that has conceded so many silly goals back to back." said Hoddle after the game.

Of course, as per usual, he was talking about the sloppy goal Wolves gave away. Today it was the fault of Michael Oakes. The former Villa man has been in exceptional form since he took over from Paul Jones back in October but after allowing Friio to convert a cross Oakes dropped the fans will be starting to wonder when Matt Murray will be given his chance.

South Korean International Seol opened the scoring with a stunning goal mid-way through the first half before Kenny Miller missed two glorious chances before the break.

"When we went one up we should have gone on and by half-time had the game sewn up, but again we haven't been able to finish things off." Said Hoddle

"I've looked at the tape of the goal we conceded and it was half a foul and half a mistake. The player didn't have his eye on the ball and did make contact with the keeper but Oakes will be disappointed he didn't deal with it."

The play-offs now look such a long long way off.
