Wolves v Norwich City

So far this year, in a mirror of Wolves first season back in The Championship, Norwich have struggled to find form. Several high scoring losses have left them in 16th, still only 3 points behind Glenn Hoddles men.

Todays clash is as much about who isnt playing as is. Each side has amassed crippling injury lists that are taking their toll on the fortunes of both squads. Each will be missing their first choice captains, Norwich's Andy Hughes picking up a knock against Cardiff. Dean Marney remains a long term absentee from the Norwich midfield and could be joined by Youssouff Safri who is doubtful with a groin problem. Defender Jurgen Colin is rated 50-50 and strikers Ryan Jarvis and Peter Thorne are definately out.

Wolves now familiar roll call of Paul Ince (thigh), Matt Murray (foot), Jackie McNamara (knee)and Mark Clyde are currently joined by Carl Cort (knee), Kenny Miller(hamstring}, George N'dah (flu), Rohan Ricketts (ankle), Mark Davies (stomach} and Michael Oakes (ankle). Rohan Ricketts is pushing for a return, but may not be seen before the international break.

Both managers will be under pressure to secure 3 points, and if Norwich win, only goal difference will stop them overtaking 10th place Wolves. A win for the home side could see them back in the play off positions.

Its a time for both sides to stand up and be counted. But for one team, it could mean bieng counted out.
