Boyd set to move to mystery club..Wolves?

WOLVES could be on the verge of signing Kilmarnock Striker Kris Boyd after his club confirmed that they had accepted a bid from an unknown Championship side.

Dave Jones liked the look of Boyd whilst he was at Molineux and even took the youngster on a week-long trial. However Wolves decided not to make a bid at the time and claimed they would "keep an eye" on the striker.

Cardiff and Dave Jones then had a bid accepted in the summer for Boyd, but the move was rejected by the player himself. However today Kilmarnock have confirmed they have received and accepted a bid from another Championship club, with Wolves possibly being the club in question.

Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey admitted at a club forum on Tuesday night that Wolves were close to completing the deal of an unknown player, in addition to the £400,000 move for Gabor Gyepes, adding to the speculation that Boyd - who has scored ten goals in his last seven appearances - could be on the verge of a Molineux move.

"We've had a very good offer from a Championship side, a big offer and the offer was accepted, we've had a few teams phoning and say they'll get back to us, but this team are really wanting to get it done and dusted so they can have him on January the 1st."  Kille boss Jefferies told Sky Sports.

"We accepted an offer from Cardiff just before the season got under way and he didn't go there and this is a bigger offer than that."
