Poor Old George Injured Again

WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers were handed a huge blow last night as Wolves Striker George Ndah was carried off with suspected knee ligament damage during the second half of the win over Sheffield Wednesday.

The fans favourite - who has had a torrid time with several serious injuries - was subject to a knee high challenge by Wednesday player Gilbert in the 52nd minute.

After four minutes of treatment Ndah was placed on a stretcher, his leg in a splint and was carried to the changing room. Of the injury, Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle told the official website said "It looks like a nasty one. We'll have to see how it settles down but it looks like a knee ligament injury. Everyone in the dressing room is devastated for him. He never seems to have any luck."

Ndah was making just his 16th appearance of the season after missing the previous two years through injury. His injury problems have been so severe that he has made just 54 appearances since he signed for £1M from Swindon in 1999.

MEANWHILE Wolves Boss Glenn Hoddle has admitted he may be without Lee Naylor for the weekend's game against Plymouth. Naylor limped out of last nights win over Sheffield Wednesday after aggravating a patella tendon strain.
