WOLVES boss Glenn Hoddle was left furious with his sides inability to put the ball in the back of the net following the 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle at Molineux on new years eve.

Wolves Boss Glenn Hoddle:

"If we'd have taken half our chances in the first half we would have been four up. But not only did we not do that but we gave away a stupid goal. Nobody was going to break their neck to clear that ball but at the other end someone probably would have broken their's to try and score for Plymouth. That's what can make the difference in this division.

  "The crowd were good and stayed behind us but there weren't enough winners out there. We opened Plymouth up for fun but we are going to under achieve it we can't put teams to the sword. We had enough chances to win two games in 20 minutes. But they hit the post near the end and could have won the game!

  "I've got to try and bring a striker in of the quality that will make the difference but with around £2mil to spend - including wages - that is not going to be easy."

Argyle Boss Tony Pulis:

"In the first half, Wolves were fantastic. They are the best footballing side we've faced this year.

"Their movement was good and, no disrespect to Plymouth Argyle, but we saw there's a massive gulf between the clubs when Wolves can send on three internationals as substitutes."
