Kenny says no to Sheffield Utd / Postma signs on

WOLVES have signed Aston Villa goalkeeper Stefan Postma on a permanent basis whilst Kenny Miller has rejected a move to Championship high flyers Sheffield United

Stefan Postma has completed a permanent move to Wolves from Aston Villa. The Danish goalkeeper joined originally on loan but after an injury to goalkeeper Michael Oakes the 31 year got his chance to impress Hoddle.

Postma went on to produce a run of fine performances which included some stunning saves and today the move was made permanent until the end of the season for what has been described by Aston Villa as a "nominal fee".

Kenny Miller has rejected a move to Sheffield United, despite the high possibility of Wolves accepting the £1.5M bid from the Yorkshire club. We reported yesterday that we believed Kenny Miller had rejected the move to Bramall Lane and that was today confirmed by Wolves.

"We have received a bid of £1.5m from Sheffield United but Kenny told us he was not interested in a move to Bramall Lane," Jez Moxey told the clubs Official Website.

  "We told Sheffield United that we would consider their bid, although it was unlikely to be accepted, but before we started negotiating we agreed we'd ask Kenny for his thoughts - he said no and so the matter went no further."
