What is going on in Waterloo Road?

'Time for the Haywards to sell' cry some. 'Get Moxey out' shout others. 'Hoddle is going to leave without investment' claim some fans.

All in all today is a sad day for a number of reasons.

Firstly, Kenny Miller has decided to go albeit at the end of the season, whilst some are sad, others don't care and there are some that don't want to see him again this season. Why is he staying until the end of the season? Is it because Celtic won't pay for him? How wanted does that make him feel? Or is it because he wants to line his own pockets? Without a fee being paid, this surely puts his signing on fee into 6 figures and his wages into 5 figures per week...greedy? Some would say so.

He is quoted as saying all he wants to do is score the goals that sees Wolves back in the top flight. Sorry Kenny but that is what you should have been doing from the outset and not now you have your future sorted out.

Second, it appears that there will be no signings during the transfer window despite having £2m plus wages burning a dirty great hole in the manager’s pocket.

Third, rumours of other players moving on. Is this to reduce the wage bill in time for another season in the Championship, which isn't yet confirmed, with no more parachute payments?

So, what is going on in Waterloo Road? Is Jez looking to spend or is he saving money? Has Jez ripped up his wall chart of this year’s progress that sits behind his chair in his office? Have everyone within the camp given up on promotion? What has happened to all the targets that we were looking at during November and December 2005? Why haven't we gone back in for McLeod after having a bid accepted? What's the deal with Tomasz Frankowski? When is the next fans forum? Will there be demonstrations outside the players’ entrance at every home game should we fail to land a quality player?

These are questions from a cross section of fans that need to be answered. We are fed up with the cloak and dagger routine, we want results both on and off the pitch. STH's are waiting for the 'Early Bird' sweeteners, what will Uncle Jez promise to deliver next season?

One final question to the board:

What happens to a manager when the owners feel they can't take the club any further?

He moves on.
