Fans "Gutted" as Cameron is sent to Millwall

WOLVES Fans were left gutted and dismayed today as fans favourite Colin Cameron was shipped off on loan to Millwall after boss Glenn Hoddle told the Scottish International he was no longer in his plans.

The 33 year old signed for £1.75M from Hearts back in 2001 and the money spent was one of the best pieces of transfer business former boss Dave Jones did during his time at Molineux.

It is pretty clear that the fans favourite has had a falling out with boss Glenn Hoddle as the reason to him not playing is mystifying and the fact he has now been shipped off on loan is pretty staggering.

Full of running and one of the best box to box players at Molineux for years Cameron played over 150 times for Wolves, scoring 24 goals and was an ever present in the 2001/02 season and the promotion winning 2002/03 season.

He played the majority of the Premiership season before being left out of the side following the sacking of Dave Jones in November 2004. Cameron was limited to the odd start and mainly substitute appearances under Hoddle and despite impressing on each occasion he played he was shipped off on a months loan with a view to it being extended today.

Should Cameron have played his last game for Wolves then he will be missed by the Wolves faithful. He showed 100% commitment whilst others around him shirked tackles and picked up their pay cheques. His effort in a gold shirt was second to none.
