Hoddle: No Money For Transfer Fee's

WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers will have to rely on loan deals and free transfers for the forthcoming campaign following the admission by boss Glenn Hoddle that there is no money available for transfer fees.

The 2006/07 annual photo call will be a depressing sight when it's released later this month as the sparse squad returned to pre-season training at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Centre in Compton yesterday.

The summer break - for us as well as the players - saw the departure of eight first team players. Most notable were the departure of Kenny Miller and the £5M sale of Joleon Lescott to Everton. Others to depart included goalkeeper Stefan Postma, Maurice Ross, Colin Cameron and Darren Anderton whilst Mark Kennedy looks set to leave Molineux having yet to agree a new deal.

Club Captain Paul Ince could be another big name out of Molineux. The fans favourite is yet to a sign on the dotted line although a statement on the Clubs Official Website today claimed the 38 year old would be due back at Molineux later this week for further talks.

It's clear that Wolves will need to strengthen in the summer - something Chief Executive Jez Moxey has admitted himself - however Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has today revealed that there is no money for transfer fee's.

Speaking to the clubs official website, boss Glenn Hoddle said "It is tough to bring people in when there's no money to pay transfer fees and so it is difficult to say how soon anything will happen."

The revelation from Hoddle comes on the same day that Coventry City confirmed their fifth summer signing with that being former fans favourite Colin Cameron.
