Ten Possible Replacements

AFTER The shock announcement that Glenn Hoddle has resigned as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers with immediate effect, we look at who could replace the former England boss in the Molineux hot seat.

We have marked each Managers chances out of five.

PAUL INCE - 4 - No experience as a manager but the Wolves captain has been away all summer gaining qualifications. Currently negotiating a new contract at Molineux, but could the contract he signs at Molineux now be that of the managers?

MICK McCARTHY - 3 - The former Sunderland boss feels he was harshly dealt with at the Stadium Of Light. He earned promotion with Sunderland on a budget less than Hoddle's but was sacked last season for failing to keep the Black Cats in the Preiership.

STUART BAXTER - 4 - The former South Africa coach is one of only a handful of coaches Worldwide to hold the "Uefa Pro License" - the highest possible coaching badge win World Football. The Wolves Fan rejected the chance to move to Molineux in 2004, citing his loyalty to South Africa as the reason.

ALEX McLEISH - 2 - Whether he would want to move to the Championship is a major doubt, but McLeish has made his intentions of a quick return to the game clear. He was not offered a new contract at Rangers, despite leading the Old Firm side to the Champions League knock-out stages.

KEVIN KEEGAN- 2 - Would Wolves look to appoint yet another former England Manager? Keegan plays attractive football but has been out of the game since March 2004. A manager who knows the championship inside out.

STUART GRAY - 4 - Took temporary charge at Molineux whilst Wolves looked for Dave Jones' replacement. He was in charge for six games where he won 3, drew 2 and lost 1, including a 4-1 home win over Reading.
