Teams for Afghanistan Test, England Tour Announced

After not just retaining but extending their lead as the No. Test team in the World, following their strong showing in South Africa, where they came back from being two Tests down to win the final Test handsomely. India now will take on newbies Afghanistan at home and then embark on a five Test tour of England. The England tour also includes T20Is and ODIs, and there is even a couple of T20Is against Ireland.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Bengaluru today to pick the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming Paytm Test against Afghanistan, two-match T2OI series against Ireland, three-match T20I series against England and the three-match ODI series against England.

The selectors also picked the India A team that will take part in a One-day Tri-series against England Lions and West Indies A and India A team that will play three four-day matches.

I am really looking forward to this match..
If the pitch is somewhat spin friendly...will be interesting to see how Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Zadran, and Mohammad Nabi go... At least the first two were phenomenal in IPL 2018....

Yep Selectors picked squad for only first three Tests... then tweaked it for the last two... keeping in mind the form of some of the others...
Good to see Prithvi Shaw in the squad. Somewhat surprised by pick of Hanuma Vihari... would have thought India would have picked another spinner, since they dropped Kuldeep.
Maybe Amit Mishra, or Axar Patel, or Yazuvendra Chahal... Shaw for Vijay makes sense...
