Cardiff City still can't buy a win....

Cardiff City failed to win again and despite Steve Thompson bagging a "brace", they could only share the points in an entertaining Boxing day match with visitors Plymouth Argyle..

This was agreat game for the neutrals and provided good festive fare for the 17,000 crowd at ninain Park, however Cardiff have not won a game since beating Burnley on 11th November and a now well and truly involved in a scrap for the play off positions. This sea-saw game saw the visitors and their large travelling support enjoy a well deserved half time lead, but the home sode hit back to make it 2-1 in the early stages of the second half. Cardiff could not however hold onto the lead given them by SteveThompson and had to settle for a point at the end of the game.

At least it was more entertaining than recent matches and hopefully some of the casual fans will come back for the must win game on Saturday against Crystal Palace. A win must be in the festive goodie bag somewhere!

Cardiff manager Dave Jones said after the game: "The first half was a non-event and we were never going to create anything. I gave them a rocket at the interval and in the second half we picked up and played the game more at our tempo. The players are low on confidence at the moment and the side needs help so hopefully we can bring in some fresh faces to liven up the squad."
