Should Cardiff overcome Coventry in the Third Round replay, the mighty Rochdale will await the Bluebirds in the last 32 at Spotland. The draw gives Cardiff the chance to progress to Round Five for the first time since 1994.

F.A Cup Fourth Round Draw
Rochdale vs Cardiff City or Coventry City

Fans of the 41 clubs who are fortunate enough to still be in the F.A Cup re-lived an old tradition today, as Monday afternoon draws returned. Small pocket radios on a low volume would be on in schools and offices all over Great Britain to here what the Fourth Round would hold.

Former Cardiff City manager, Phil Neal and Ex-Tottenham skipper Steve Perryman did the draw - both have big F.A Cup traditions.

Cardiff City fans will probably be a bit disappointed with the draw, should we beat Coventry, Cardiff will face a trip to Spotland to face the mighty Rochdale!

It's hardly the romantic tie we were hoping for, and we can look with envy at clubs like Farnborough who drew Arsenal at home, or Shrewsbury who will meet Chelsea at Gay Meadow - but it's the luck of the draw!

West Ham's visit to Old Trafford, and Leicester's visit to Wolves also look exciting ties.

The good thing about the draw is, it gives Cardiff a realistic chance of progressing to Round Five for the first time since 1994, and a Cup Run of this magnitude will bring in some cash for the club which is vital, particularly as a Hammam spending spree is predicted at the end of the season!

Rochdale currently sit 15th in the Third Division table, and inconstancy is costing the club the promotion push many had hoped for.

The Third Division outfit made it to Round Four after beating struggling First Division Side Preston North End at Prenton Park.

Of Course, before the Bluebirds can't even think about a game with Rochdale, as we must first beat Coventry City at Highfield Road in the Third Round replay, after the 2-2 draw last Saturday.

The replay will be shown live on Sky television.

The complete draw is as follows:

Norwich or Brighton v Plymouth or Dag & Red
Southampton v Cambridge Utd or Millwall
Walsall or Reading v Wimbledon
Blackburn v Bolton or Sunderland
Rochdale v Cardiff City or Coventry City
Fulham v Charlton
Sheffield Utd v Ipswich
Shrewsbury v Chelsea
Stoke v Bournemouth or Crewe
Brentford v Grimsby or Burnley
Farnborough v Arsenal
Manchester United v West Ham
Gillingham or Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds
Wolves v Leicester
Watford v West Brom
Crystal Palace v Liverpool

Ties will be played on either 25th or 26th of January.
