Cardiff lose 3-0 at Highfield Road.

Cardiff enjoyed the majority of the play at Highfield Road but were unable to convert any chances into goals. Peter Thorne's dreadful season continues, he missed two glorious chances. Robert Earnshaw also had shots blocked and cleared off the line.

Coventry to be fair took their chances and the second goal from Dean Holdsworth was an impressive strike.

The half time score was 1-0, and it wasn't until Coventry scored their third that Cardiff were definitely out of the tie.

At the end of the game there was some trouble amongst the travelling fans, which was mentioned and highlighted by the Sky commentators.
