Lawrence approached the Edinburgh club last week, but Hibs are adamant that Murray is saying in Scotland. A spokesman for the club has said, "Cardiff made an enquiry about the availability of Murray, but we were quick to tell them their interest is not welcome, he is staying at Hibs. The player is considered very useful as he can play both midfield and defensive roles. Murray still has 2 years left on his current contract, so it looks unlikely that he will be joining the Bluebirds in the near future. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a wonderful season so far, captaining Hibs and the Scotland under-21 side as well as winning his first senior international cap. Hibernian are currently 6th in the Scottish top flight, and are looking to stay in the top half for the end of season split.
