In tonight's only Division Two fixture, Bristol City visited the County Ground to face Swindon Town in a west country derby. You would have been excused for not thinking it was Christmas with all the Robins about! It was Mark Robins who gave the Bristol Robins the lead just after the half-time break. But with 25 minutes to go Swindon's top striker, Sam Parking grabbed an equaliser for the home side. 8,629 were in attendance to see yet another fierce meeting between the sides which saw 5 yellow cards. The draw keeps Bristol City in 5th place, 7 points behind Crewe. Swindon move up to 13th, but are still just 8 points above the relegation zone.
