Fixtures Announced
The Football League has today released the fixture lists for the coming 2003/2004 season. Unfortunately, due to ridiculous copyright laws I am forbidden from publishing the fixture list in full, or any part of it.

The unusual amount of hype between supporters building up to the release of the fixture lists was even greater than normal in Cardiff this season, with even hoax fixture lists being announced on some web-sites! Still, I suppose the excitement is to be expected, this sort of quality opposition has not been at Ninian Park for 18 seasons.

The Bluebirds start the season off with a trip to Milmoor to face Rotherham United. The last time the two clubs met was in the 1999/2000 relegation season, when Rotherham stuffed City 4-0 at Ninian Park as they went on to clinch the Second Division championship.

The first league home game of the season comes the following season as Bradford City visit Ninian Park.

The recently relegated Premiership clubs will visit Ninian Park on October 11th (West Bromwich Albion), October 25th (West Ham United) and February 21st (Sunderland.

The season ends with a trip to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town, who are desperately looking to put their financial troubles behind them and make a charge for the Premiership.

All these fixtures are subject to change, and some clash with Wales' international matches meaning if the Bluebirds have at least three players in the Welsh squad, the league fixture will be postponed. Our fans reputation also causes some bigger games to be moved to mid-week fixtures, this was worse than ever last season, so expect many changes.

Other dates for your diary will be the League Cup First Round, on August 12th, and the F.A Cup Third Round on January 3rd (No more early rounds!!). The dates for the F.A.W Premier Cup Quarter-Finals is yet to be announced.

For the first time in the competitions history, City will not be entering the Associate Members Cup (L.D.V Vans Trophy)!
