Scandinavia Tour Squad Announced

Cardiff City have announced a squad of 21 players that will make the trip to Scandinavia for the pre-season tour.

New signings John Robinson and Tony Vidmar are both included in the trip.

The only senior squad member not to fly out is defender Scott Young, who is still trying to overcome a back problem.

Young's absence has made room in the party for 17-year-old Stuart Fleetwood. The young striker is seen as a player with massive potential, and being involved in the tour will give him valuable experience.

Despite being told to find a new club, Layton Maxwell is included in the tour party.

The complete tour squad is as follows:

Neil Alexander
Martyn Margetson
Rhys Weston
James Collins
Gary Croft
Chris Barker
Danny Gabbidon
Tony Vidmar
John Robinson
Layton Maxwell
Jason Bowen
Willie Boland
Mark Bonner
Gareth Whalley
Graham Kavanagh
Gavin Gordon
Andrew Campbell
Peter Thorne
Robert Earnshaw
Stuart Fleetwood

City kick-off the tour on Saturday against Koge BK.

Bluebird to the Bone would like to wish all players and staff a safe trip, and wish them good luck for the tour.
