The Bluebird Welsh bar is
in the beautiful area of Adeje in Playa De Las Americas in Tenerife.
Its owned by a friend of mine Steve and his wife Allison who are both
massive Cardiff City fans. I was there two
weeks ago for my first trip to the bar since Steve bought it a year ago.
If you follow the directions below you cannot miss it, as you walk up the
road you can see the flag post with a Welsh flag and a St David's cross just
below.
As I walked into the bar I was amazed at the amount of memorabilia in the
bar, on every wall there are CCFC scarves, pictures, mirrors etc. Since I
have been there are also two 'Bluebird to the Bone' posters added.
As you walk in there is a signed Cardiff
City shirt next to a Celtic
shirt signed by big Jon Hartson, just below that is a plaque saying seat
reserved for Sam Hammam.
The next morning I went in for breakfast and had the best breakfast on the
island cooked by Allison's fair hands. Beer and soft drinks are very
reasonably priced as are the meals.
And if karaoke is your thing, there is a session of it in the evening. Steve
was one of the top men in Cardiff for karaoke before
leaving for Spain, so it is well worth your while!
Steve and his nephew Anthony also do there own show which I must admit was
very, very good.
Most nights I was there until about 4am as the bar opened later than most in
the area.
There were a fair few CCFC fans there but also lots of people from all over
Great Britain.
I know one thing, I will go back. Steve and Allison really try to make your
holiday the best time you can have.
If you are not sure where to take your next holiday think seriously about
Tenerife and look up Steve and Allison at the Bluebird Welsh bar, you won't
be disappointed!
Directions to the Bluebirds Bar
