Our very own Sam's Cat gives his views on the 2-0 loss at the hands of Bradford City. Pessimistic as always, the Cat criticises the midfield, but does amazingly praise new signing Alan Lee.

Sam's Cat's View - Bradford Defeat
For the neutral this was one to savour, big crowd, nice weather, some pretty football by both sides and a couple of cracking goals. Unfortunately for the faithful and the not so faithful, both goals were scored by Bradford and the season has not got off to the best of starts for the Bluebirds.

The programme ( an improved read on last season ) pictured the proposed new stadium with 58,000 seats. Could we please concentrate lads on what is important at the moment - the football on the pitch. Any more powder puff performances like that in front of goal and we'll make Brighton's season last year look successful!

Earnie has to realise he can't con first division defenders like he could do in the lower leagues, hence Lennie the Lion taking him off. His game will have to develop out of the one dimensional format it is at the moment..

Of the new boys Lee worked hard, Langley thought he was playing rugby with a couple of good drop goal efforts.

The defence needs a boss in the centre.

The midfield needs a creative man who is prepared to get forward.

Welcome to the real world ! For players like G Kavanagh ( who was quite rightly taken off yesterday ) it will have to be a very steep learning curve, as they can't strut about looking important at this level.

On the bright side we are not in the relegation zone and only 5 points off the top!

Bring on Forest!
