Alexander Gets Scotland 'B' Cap
Neil Alexander received his first cap for Scotland 'B' on Tuesday night, as the Tartan Army went down 1-0 to Germany at Aberdeen's Pittodrie Stadium.

A crowd of only 2,417 looked on as few players in the Scottish line-up did little to impress the watching Bertie Vogts.

As a spectacle, the game was not particularly entertaining with Daun getting the only goal of the game to secure victory for the visitors with 10 minutes left on the clock. Daun drove a powerful shot from 20-yards out leaving Alexander in the Scotland goal with no chance.

Overall, Alexander was given little to do throughout the game, but the experience of playing against quality opposition such as Germany in a 'B' international will undoubtedly be good for the former Livingston 'keeper.

Alexander is currently in a battle to be the Scottish number-two 'keeper behind Celtic's Rab Douglas, and has been selected on the bench for the senior sides last few internationals. The 24-year-old is yet to receive a first-team cap, but has now played at B and Youth levels for the Scots.
