New 'Keeper?

Welsh international goalkeeper, Danny Coyne has been transfer listed Grimsby Town. Lawrence has been quick to show intrest in the 'keeper.

Lennie Lawrence has shown intrest in Grimsby Town 'keeper and Welsh Internatioal, Danny Coyne.

Coyne was yesterday tranfer listed by The Mariners. The Division One club, are currently in severe financial problems and are desperate to get some cash from selling their 'keeper.

Coyne would normally carry a price tag of around £1miilion, but Grimsby are asking just 10% of this, looking for around £100,000 for the Welshman.

City have been looking for a back up goalkeeper for a while, and Lawrence sees the Coyne as a perfect signing.

"A lot of other clubs will be interested in Danny because the transfer fee Grimsby will be looking for now is significantly less than it was a year ago.
said Lawrence. Other clubs rumoured to be intrested are Premiership boys, Everton and Sunderland.

Personally, I see it unlikely that Danny Coyne will become a Bluebird! With Premiership clubs rumoured to be chasing for his signature, and no guarantee of regular first team football with Cardiff, Coyne, in my opinion, is unlikely to join City.
