Cardiff City hung on to beat Crystal Palce in front of 11,647 fans after Michael Ricketts had once again given the Bluebirds a first half lead. Sam's call for more support was hardly answered although a sizeable away following swelled the numbers....

Six points from two home games and an unbeaten run has seen the Bluebirds climb to mid table and with a game in hand are now looking more comfortable in the Championship.

The game against Crystal Palace was hardly a classic although there was sufficient interest to keep the crowd interested after a mix up in the visitors defence had presented Ricketts with another goal, well struck from close range in front of the Grange End.

Palace huffed and puffed but were woeful in front of goal, and could not get the equaliser their posession deserved. Things are looking up for the club on the pitch, but concern as to why the fans are staying away will begin to grow if we can only muster just over 10,500 home fans for games against teams like Palace.
