Dull bore draw at Brammall Lane

Sometimes a 0-0 draw can be exciting, thie wasn't one of them. Late appeals for a penalty were little to get excited about as David Jones' team became the first team to take points off the Blades in their own back yard this season.

David Jones was fuming, Neil Warnock is always fuming when Sheffield United don't win, but to be honest a draw was a fair result....

Cardiff City have now only lost once in the last 11 league games - and on Saturday afternoon the nullified the Blades by smothering the midfield and cutting off dangerous balls to Steve Kabba. It was a good result for the Welshmen who nearly snatched victory with a Jason Koumas late strike which was well saved by Paddy Kenny.

Despite the late penalty appeal the neutral observer would have to admit that United had most of the play but Cardiff City are a tough side on the road now and defend well.

The teams lined up as follows, and there was a very healthy crowd of over 25,000....
