Goalless Rams game raises questions.....

Cardiff failed to breakdown a resolute Derby defence and an inspired performance from their goalkeeper. Man of the match Jason Koumas struck the bar with a free kick but in all honesty the 12,500 crowd were never going to see the goals fly in today.....

It was cold but the second half warmed the fans slightly after a drab first half. The first question was how big was the crowd which the club didn't announce, given that Sam had said earlier in the week that 13,000 tickets had already been sold. The official crowd was 12,500 and given the number of people paying cash at the Bob Bank turnstiles, a lot of people who bought tickets obviously didn't turn up!!

The Derby fans numbered about 600 and were rarely heard, they after all don't have too much to shout about however they left dekighted with a point. Cardiff City huffed and puffed but didn't impress the larger than average crowd, some players notably Michael Ricketts had poor games and goalscoring is becoming a worry. Jason Koumas is key to our success, let's hope we can keep him when the transfer window opens, but can the club afford to buy him?
