Fielding a team of reserves and new signing Guylain Ndumbu Nsungu the Bluebirds fell out of the only competition they still had a chance of winning, and threw away the possible £100,000 prize money....

Despite winning the tournament once, the club have never taken the tournament seriously and once again they were made to pay for their arrogance. Byron Anthony gave the Bluebirds they lead but they couldn't hold onto this slim advantage and the home side evntually took the honours.
