Right-back Ryan Green has been offered a short-term contract with Cardiff City. The former Millwall player has been training with the Bluebirds, but Lawrence wanted to trim his squad before signing him.

The departure of Low and Kendall has opened the way for the 21-year old to sign. Lawrence confirmed: "Ryan has been offered a short-term contract.

"He played 20 First Division games for Millwall last season and will be a useful addition to our squad."

Bradford were interested in signing him and Millwall offered him a one-year contract, but Green was keen to join his home city club. Lawrence wants to him to play for the reserves next week.

Green has previously spent time at Wolves and Torquay (loan).
