Darlo fan Olly Chapman writes about Chris Hughes' recent move to Scarborough. The young defender failed to earn a new contract at the Williamson Motors Stadium.
Former Quaker Chris Hughes has completed his move to the McCain Stadium. Hughes, 21, has become Nick Henry's first swoop of the summer.
With forty appereances, seventeen of these from the bench and 2 goals in his time at the Williamson Motors Stadium, some fans were shocked to see him leave when manager David Hodgson didn't offer him a new contract.
Hughes, who can play anywhere from right-back to centre midfield looks the ideal addition to the Scarbourogh squad and while Quakers fans won't be seeing his potential on display next season, they can only wish him good luck.
