Petta Snubs Bantams and Looks Elsewhere

Cultured winger, Bobby Petta, has rejected Bradford's contract offer and is set to look elsewhere. Bobby's lax attitude on the pitch failed to earn him a new contract at Darlington and he was released.

Former Celtic winger, Bobby Petta, has rejected Bradford City, much to the disappointment of Bantams manager, Colin Todd.

Speaking to Bradford City's Official Website, Todd commented

"I am naturally disappointed, especially after we reviewed our initial offer but he has decided to go elsewhere, which is of course his prerogative. The deal is now dead in the water as far as I am concerned and I will now start again looking elsewhere."

Petta's apparent arrogance and 'too big for his boots' attitude failed to earn him a new contract at the Williamson Motors Stadium. Darlington fans were very disappointed by many of Petta's performaces and saw the games in which he played as a massive anti-climax, expecially considering the hype and publicity his signing attracted by the local media.
