Darlington Lose Out On Larkin To Chesterfield

Today, Colin Larkin has u-turned and rejected Darlington's offer to play his week to week football in League 1, with Chesterfiled.
It seemed most likely that Larkin would accept the Qaukers offer after assistant manager Mark Proctor stated he had sold the club to him, and expected to finalise things within the next few days.
However, this morning, Darlington fans were shown this was not the case, as the former Stags hotshot snubbed the chance of a one year contract with Darlo and chose to join Coca Cola League 1 outfit Chesterfield, signing himself up for two years.
With rumours flying that Alun Armstrong was going to move to Chesterfield, it now looks more likely that the ex - smoggy forward will be staying on another short-term deal with the Quakers.
