It looks as if Darlington's bid for Swansea City Striker, Paul Connor is not going to be successful. Following his recent comments to the media, Connor looks set to remain at White Rock.

Bishop Auckland born striker, Paul Connor, does not look likely to sign a deal for the Quakers.

Connor recently commented that he didn't feel totally convinced after talks were held between DFC and the player himself and that he is set to stay at the Welsh Club and battle for a place in the first team.

No doubt Darlo boss, David Hodgson, will be disappointed at the collapse of the deal but having already 3 strikers on the books-Simon Johnson, Clyde Wijnhard, Akpo Sodje and Alun Armstrong waiting in the wings- at the Williamson Motors Stadium, the Quakers fans cannot help but feel the club are much better off at this stage this season than last!
