England 1 - 2 Brazil

England's World Cup dream has came to an end today in the quarter final as they crash out to favourites Brazil. England lead out by Captain David Beckham.....

started brightly and on 23 minutes a poor cross from "big" Emile Heskey forced a defensive mistake from Bayer Leverkusen's Lucio which gifted a one on one chance for Owen, who side footed past Brazilian Marcos. England were now firm favourites and looked like they would go into the half time break a goal to the good.
However 2 minutes into stoppage time Ronaldinho broke forward and ran at the English back line before slotting the ball to Rivaldo who struck a curling shot past Seamans right hand.
A couple of minutes after the re-start Brazil were awarded a free kick on the corner of the penalty area and Ronaldinho with what might of been a cross or a shot, hit a looping ball over Seaman and put England 2-1 down and with everything to do.
Under the extreme heat and humidity England were not up to the challage and even after Ronaldinho was sent off on 56 minutes never threatened the South Americans goal.
Disapointing second half by the English, and another tourniment comes to an end in disapointment. Good luck for 2006 in Germany and the European chapionships in 2 years time.

England till i die!!!!
