Wright scraps Whittaker rumours

Mark Wight has dismissed rumours that City Winger Stuart Whittaker is set to depart from the Deva Stadium. Over the past few days it has been speculated that Whittaker may be leaving Chester to find first team football at Lancaster City.

Chester manager Mark Wright was quick to dismiss rumours tha Whitty is leaving the club.

Whittaker was a firm fans favourite at the end of the season and finished off with style with a hat trick on the final home game of the season against Stevenage Borough.

Wright stated "Stuart Whittaker is a Chester City player and is training with us". "Lancaster City hav'nt contacted us and i can tell he is a Chester player as far as i am concerened"

I'm sure all City fans are pleased that Stuart will be with us next season.
