Frazier and Likhovtseva advance in Hobart

Amy Frazier and Elena Likhovtseva each won Quarterfinal matches on Wednesday at the Moorilla International, Australia tennis tournament.
The second-seeded Frazier, the highest seed remaining advanced with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Germany's Angelika Roesch. The first set was close, but the 30-year-old American cruised in the second set.
"The first set, every game went to deuce, then she made more unforced errors," Frazier said.
Frazier won her second-round match in a walkover against Tatiana Perebiynis after disposing of Els Callens in the opening round. Next up will be the fourth-seeded Likhovtseva.
Likhovtseva had little trouble in holding off American Jill Craybas, the eighth seed, 7-5, 6-4.
Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic disposed of qualifier Shinobu Asagoe, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
