Daniela Hantuchova booked her place in the quarter-finals of the $585,000 WTA Indoor event in Paris beating Maja Matevzic 6-3, 6-3.
Hantuchova proved far superior to her Slovenian opponent ranked 52 in the world, and was given few difficulties to seal victory.
France's Emilie Loit carried her good form by beating compatriot Virginie Razzano 6-3, 6-2.
Loit nearly caused the biggest upset in tennis history by beatening Serena William's in the first round of the Australian Open and looks like her form is continuing.
Magui Serna secured a place in the last eight by ousting Stephanie Cohen Aloro 7-6, 6-7, 6-3.
Nineteen-year-old Cohen Aloro a wild card entry with a 166 ranking in the world looked to more accomplished and took the lead.
But Serna who won her only WTA title in Estoril last year broke to lead 5-3 up and sealed it in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
