Granville upsets top-seed Farina Ellia

Laura Granville saved a match point in the second set before rallying to defeat top seed Silvia Farina-Elia 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 in the quarter-finals.

Granville booked a showdown with third seed Amanda Coetzer of South Africa, who ousted Stephanie Foretz 7-5, 6-4.

South Korea's Cho Yoon Jeongm who beat Japan's Saori Obata 6-0, 6-3, will face second-seeded and defending champion Lisa Raymond in the other semi-final.

Raymond beat her American compatriot Carly Gullickson 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
