Rios thrashes top seed Razzano

Paruguay's Rossana Neffa-de los Rios sent French number 1 seed Virginie Razzano crashing out with a fantastic 6-3, 6-0 thrashing in the first round

Razzano struggled to find her range early on and her opponent exploited her poor form to storm into the next round. Rios crushed the young French star in the second set without losing a game claiming it 6-0.

Meanwhile defending champion Patricia Wartusch started the defence of her title with a comfortable 6-4, 6-3 win over Italy's Mara Santangelo.
