Molik progresses but Muller out

Australian Alicia Molik and Virginie Razzano stormed into the second round, at the $110,000 clay-court Budapest Grand Prix tennis tournament
The third-seeded Molik, of Australia, dominated the Slovakian Martina Sucha 6-1, 6-0 and continues her good form on clay. Virginie Razzano of France outclassed Hungarian's Rita Kuti Kis 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 who beat Jennifer Capriati 2 years ago at the Italian Open.
Defending champion Martina Muller who beat Swiss teenager Myriam Casanova last year lost to Czech Iveta Benesova 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Muller defeated Swiss Myriam Casanova in last year's final here.
Day 2's other victors were Slovakians Ludmila Cervanova and Jarmila Gajdosova, Hungarian crowd favorite Katalin Marosi, France's Stephanie Cohen Aloro, and Yugoslavian Jelena Jankovic.
Marosi pasted Slovakian Lubomira Kurhajcova 6-4, 6-2. This week's top seed in Croatian Iva Majoli who didn't successfully defend her title last week at the Family Circle cup decided to play here instead of Bausch & Lomb. She'll play Romanian Andrea Vanc on Wednesday. Estoril Open champion Magui Serna wil be playing on Wednesday, as the second-seeded Spaniard will play German Angelika Roesch.
