Smashnova meets Garbin in Modena final

Anna Smashnova of Israel and Tathiana Garbin of Italy reached the final of the Modena International, the new tier IV tournament in 2005. Fifth seed Smashnova and defeated second seed Flavia Pennetta of Italy 7-5, 6-3. Tathiana Garbin beat Agnes Szavay of Hungary in straight sets 6-3 and 6-0.
