Qualifying Review

Todays qualifiying for the Japanese Grand prix didnt go so well for the Michelin tyre runners. Bridgestone clearly have the upper hand in the dry but who knows in the wet.
It was as expected a Ferrari one two but as we saw in turkey its the wrong one
on pole Felipe Massa will start first for the Italian squad with title contender
Michael Schumacher taking second locking out the front row. Taking third is
Toyotas super star of last year Ralf Schumacher who took pole on a very light
strategy sitting next to him on the grid is his team mate Jarno Trulli again he
must be on a very light strategy to impress home fans. Breaking through
Bridgestones grasp in 5th is the first Michelin runner and not the last Fernando
Alonso taking 6th is his teammate Giancarlo Fisichella therefore locking out the
third row. Its a teammate trail today as the two hondas lock out the fourth row
with Britains Jenson Button taking 7th and Rubens Barrichello in 8th a great
effort by them. Rounding off the top ten and breaking off the team pattern Nick
Heidfeld escapes a blocking penalty in 9th and an impressive run for Nico
Rosberg in 10th. A day to forget for us as we line up 11th and 13th surley one
of the teams hit hard by the tyre performence but Ron Dennis is confident of a
good race straegy but hopes for rain. Surely we will not be able to hold our
record of winning a race every season now? But we will have to see because
anything can happen in motor racing and again rain to be a factor make sure you
dont miss the Japanese Grand Prix live on ITV1 at 5.00am and a race re run at
3.30pm
