After a lot of speculation it has been anounced that Pedro De La Rosa will take the race seat for the last round of the season and possibly the last chance for Mclaren to try and win a grand prix

Pedro De La Rosa was draughted in after Montoya announced he had enough of formula one. Ever since Pedro has impresed Mclaren managementwith his performences. Who gets the second seat next to reigning world champion Fernando Alonso is still unclear. But will it be the ever loyal Gary Paffet? or the experienced Pedro De La Rosa? or GP2s star Lewis Hamilton? stay with us for the last race and pre season testing to find out as we will announce it here as we get the information. Pedro had this to say speaking to f1s no1 site ITV “After the disappointing race we had in Suzuka, I am looking forward to getting back on track and working with the team to finish the year on a high,” he said. “The test in Jerez this week has been positive, with a lot of the focus on tyres with Michelin and as a result, we feel confident we will be able to get more out of them at Interlagos. “The track tends to be fairly abrasive on the tyres, but we are fully prepared for this. “Qualifying is vital here, so we have to improve our performance from Japan.”
