Hakkinen Stays In DTM

Finnish double world champion has decided to stay in the DTM series squashing any rumors about him becoming the test driver for Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes in 2007, following a test with the Mercedes powered team during winter testing. Mika wasn’t the fastest on that day of testing.

Commenting on his descision Mika had this to say.

"It's nice to continue being part of the Mercedes-Benz motorsport family," Hakkinen said. "It's important to continue my long-standing successful partnership with the team. My results in 2006 don't reflect our true potential and my target is to rectify that. I want to show what I'm capable in DTM."
